Portal Jewellery is a design studio based in London.
The inspiration for our work came from a common interest: mythology and fairy tales.

Pathways that can only be found once, a door that only opens if you decipher the code, hidden portals to another world – all this led us to black holes.

To us, they are glitches or faults in the fabric of the universe, a connection to something that normally remains unseen. The hexagons as a base shape represent the everyday appearance of things, but some of them are disrupted, out of the ordinary. This is where something might have passed through and in doing so caused a glitch in the orderly arrangement of the fabric.

All pieces are named after known black holes.

We have exhibited in London and New York.
